Liberty - Mis-sold SIPP Investment Claims

Liberty SIPP Investment Claims

Liberty SIPP has already had hundreds of claims made against it with the Financial Ombudsman Service. It is also facing legal action for accepting unregulated investments into its SIPPs from unregulated introducers. These unsuitable schemes include Ethical Forestry, Global Plantations, Gas Investments, Sustainable Agroenergy and a Child Care Scheme.

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) has paid out more than £5.8m in compensation to 187 Liberty Sipp pension claimants. All 187 claims are Sipp claims and about 35 claims have been rejected so far. Liberty SIPP Ltd has failed and was placed into administration on 27 April 2020. As a result, FSCS is accepting claims against this firm.
