Stadia Trustees SIPP Claims
In January 2018 the FSCS declared Stadia Trustees Ltd in default, relating to how they owned and operated SIPPs on a range of investments, including offshore property, Store Pods, and oil fields.
This is a significant step for the FSCS as this is a SIPP operator rather than the advisor. The FSCS said this was a result of due diligence failings and was made at the same time as Brooklands and Montpellier Pension Administration Services Limited were declared to be in default. The firm is now in liquidation.
The FSCS says it has already received 150 clams that relate to these 3 firms and expects many more over the next year. If you hold a SIPP with any of these firms it is possible that the appropriate due diligence was not completed and you may be entitled to compensation.
